Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 ½ teaspoons onion powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 ½ teaspoons kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or more to taste
- 1 ½ pounds chicken wings and drummettes
- 2 teaspoons olive oil
Steps
- Preheat an air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Combine paprika, chili powder, cumin, onion powder, garlic powder, black pepper, salt, and cayenne in a small bowl.
- Rinse chicken and pat dry. Place into a large bowl, drizzle with oil, and toss to coat. Sprinkle spice mixture over chicken and toss until evenly covered. Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket so it’s not touching.
- Cook in the preheated air fryer until no longer pink at the bone and the juices run clear, about 12 minutes, turning halfway through. An instant-read thermometer inserted near the bone should read 165 degrees F (74 degrees C). For crispier wings, increase the temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and cook for 2 to 3 minutes more.
- Let rest for a few minutes before serving.
